About

Sometimes I feel like my favorite author, Robert Fulham, who says he often repeats himself and the hope that sooner or later he might just say something right. I too wrestle with dilemma's that are not easily solved or easily dismissed. I am a working progress. I have a life in progress and that is what I write about. Some progress in the work is enough to keep it going. So sometimes when I'm dealing with pain when my insides are churning I have to unplug from the things around me and take a break. Other times I yearn for change in my life. I look at the past the good old days when life was good and God seemed close and our family gave us nothing but blessings. But now the good old days are are gone and while we know dwelling on the past is futile, we still do it anyway. The yearning stage can last longer sometimes than any other. We learn lots of things. We learn what we're really made of. We learn from others, perhaps and support groups we learned from our peers. We learn from our family members and others and discover that we are in a process of long, slow breath. The spiritual values we've always taken for granted have now become much more than nice theories, as pain compassionate, more loving. We find that our values are a real part of who we are, not something we'd like to be. We turn our problems completely over to God. We finally see that we can do a lot of thinking. Feeling talking but only two words really help" whatever, Lord" whatever God allows in our lives, He will get us through and somehow some way. No matter how hard life may be, we can hand it all to the one who still is a control. This is honest relinquishment and because this learning to let go is so important, it's the one thing that we find ourselves having to do over and over again.

Whatever our circumstances are as we battle and adapt to be able to fight cancer, yes the awful "C" word,Cancer,

we find ourselves having to adapt and overcome the challenges and pain. Adaptability is one of the most important qualities for having a healthy life, even in the face of a chronic disease and continual problems. Circumstances of our lives are constantly changing, either we adapt to fit these new challenges or our well-being deteriorates.

So as we walk together through some of the most difficult challenges that cancer brings and all of the different types of cancer , I hope that touching hands cancer outreach can help you be able to have a little hope, a little light, a little strength, be able to smile, knowing that you are cared about, loved and have someone that is praying for you daily.
